Delightful November 28, 2008 I loved this film. Kevin Kline is excellent as the french gadabout and what a brillant job on the accent. There is so much to like about this film. Light romantic comedies are not normally my thing but this is well worth a watch. Its a shame Kline hasn't risen higher up the Hollwood pecking order.Remember how good he was in a Fish Called Wanda. Any man wanting to get in the wifes good books would do well to get this as a gift. Totally brilliant and really funny. The french locations only add to the charm of the film.
Sweet with a great Soundtrack March 30, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I really enjoyed this film. Like a good French meal, the flavours build up in subtle beguiling layers. Great setting of Paris and an irresistible combination of sexy, French, laid back hero and uptight, American heroine. This combo has been done before in Green Card, but the plot here is completely different and has a fresh feel to it. The friction between the characters unfolds beautifully into a frisson and then passion thru the conduit of the accidental kiss. Having already heard the characters respective opinions on kissing, this is quite enchanting.
Initially, we come to know Kate's (Meg Ryan) story in a light comical fashion. We are then taken thru a train journey into Luc's (a very convincing Kevin Kline) story. This is a sensual delight. A feast first for the palate in the description of cheeses, then for the eyes in the stunning landscapes, for the nose in the exploration of wines and of course for the heart as everything is bought to a satisfying finish with an unexpected twist before the final flourish.
With all the wonderful comic touches along the way, and the great soundtrack I would recommend this DVD for a great night in, or in my case as I have already watched it many times, lots of great nights in. Worth buying.
Easy! March 12, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
It reminded me of my late teens. No wonder, if we don't consider coincidence. But, it was sad somehow, too.

'French Kiss' is really a good movie to watch. The most funniest thing is that there is a movie named 'Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha' which is the carbon copy of 'French Kiss'. 'Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha' is an Indian movie , Directed by Anees Bazmee . if you understand Indian language then you will find that Anees Bazmee has copied 'French Kiss' line by line .
In 'French Kiss' Meg Ryan (Kate) was looking very beautiful and her expression is just excellent in this movie. And other character like Jean Reno ( Inspector Jean-Paul Cardon ) acted very good. If you want to spent your holidays by watching good movies then this movie should be included in your list
I love this movie... November 16, 2005 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
It's one for curling up on the sofa with a mug of hot chocolate to watch. I love this movie for its romance, scenery, comedy and 'frenchness'. It makes me want to catch the next plane to Paris. On the downside Meg Ryan is a little irritating as the uptight American but Kevin Kline plays an unconvincing but lovable Frenchman and certainly steals the movie!
