Amazon.co.uk Review Worzel is back, putting the "Wor" after W as well as he ever used to do. This time, he appears in a Christmas special, A Cup O' Tea An' a Slice O' Cake, where he puts on his party head and heads off to the Scarecrow ball. As always with Worzel, nothing goes to plan and chaos and confusion follow him wherever he goes. For those who remember John Pertwee as scatty Worzel, and Una Stubbs as the irrepressible Aunt Sally the first time around, buying this for their children is an easy excuse for a trip down memory lane. Guest appearances from a younger but equally distinctive Barbara Windsor, and a fresher but just as funny Billy Connolly add up to make almost an hour of first-class entertainment. --Lucie Naylor

Entertainment for kids of all ages !! September 29, 2001 14 out of 15 found this review helpful
This story shows Jon Pertwee in his classic role as a true comic actor. With the abundance of other stars who support him in the way that only "stars" can "A Cup O' Tea An' A Slice O' Cake" is entertainment that will keep kids (of all ages) entertained time and time again.Whether or not you have read the original Worzel stories (why not search for them!) you will find this interpretation is true to the spirit (sorry, the "cup of tea") that Barbara Euphan Todd portrayed so well in the original printed form, but adapted for the TV screen in a way that used the talents of the late great Jon Pertwee to bring the scarecrow fully alive.
A Classic for young and old to share September 26, 2001 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
Wow at last one of the greatest dvds that could be released. This will remind the 30 somethings of many a happy time sitting down and watching Worzel chase, flatter and grovel to Aunt Sally. At the younger end of the scale kids will love it, after all a man that can take his head off and replace it with a different one to suit the mood goes well with todays modern transplant era. So sit down grab ya cup O' Tea An' A Slice O' Cake and enjoy
