More that meets the eye January 19, 2003 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
This disc is a feast for any cricket fan, and offers far more than the title suggests. Astle's fastest ever double hundred is obviously the main feature, and the interview which introduces it shows what a modest and gracious sportsman he is. However, there are also comprehensive highlights of the two decisive Tests of England's 2002 tour, and three one day internationals. The first Test in Christchurch has been described as one of the greatest in the games's history, as it swung first one way, and then the other. As well as Astle's fine innings, enjoy Hussain's gritty hundred, Matthew Hoggard's excellent bowling, and England's magnificent second innings with Flintoff's maiden Test ton and Graham Thorpe's superb 200 not out. New Zealand levelled the series with their win in Auckland, where Astle again played a major role, batting under floodlights for the first time in a Test match, to set England a target they could not reach. This is one to be watched and enjoyed again and again - a true collector's item.
