It's 25 years since Roland Rat graced our screens, why i was a meer school boy and couldnt wait for the GMTV mornings, just too hear the yeeeeeaaaahhhh! from this rodent. At last we have upgraded to dvd. It's glorious too see one more time and still makes me smile. I hate to admit this but i still have the 2 albums, the singles and the cuddly toys tucked away at the top of the wardrobe, much too the disgust of my partner. I am kinda hoping that 1 day we will get a cd release of his albums, but in the meantime check this dvd out, for kids and big kids and adult kids who remember Roland the first time around, and the oh! so camp Kevin the Gerbil, Errol, Glenys etc etc. This is fun and Roland 25 this year...Happy Birthday.

He's the rat your DVD was made for - bring back the memories kids as you watch Roland, the brill, ace and skill rodent superstar in highlights from TVAM's "Rat On The Road" when he, Kevin The Gerbil and Errol The Hamster took their crusty old clapped out Ford Anglia, sprayed it pink, called it the Ratmobile and travelled to famous locations and landmarks in Great Britain to meet their adoring young fans who all went home holding the much acclaimed "Ratbag" laden with free goodies (provided at Kevin's expense ! *faints*). The DVD features extras including a music video, stills gallery and a behind the scenes featurette - get it or go live in a sewer under Kings Cross Station ! Yeeeeah !

For years now people have been after stuff on Roland Rat and we have always been saying he is going to make a comeback, Maybe he could save the radio breakfast show just like he did for TV-am.
Any way this DVD is great and so funny, I forgot how funny he was and have laughed my way through the DVD. It is now 20 years since he graced our screens and I think he is still as funny now as he was then.
The DVD goes on a tour around the country visiting all the places that he visited all those years back and the adventures he gets on, the outtakes are great and the special feature on the making of Roland Rat is interesting and educational. I cant wait for the Special edition box set to come out in the future with loads more features.
If you liked him first time round you'll still get a laugh at him now.
