This dvd chronicles the cataclysmic events during one of Americas most famous natural disasters.Originally shot in IMAX format this film includes footage from the rescue helicoptersthat combed the area looking for survivors after the initial eruption.This footage reveals images of the contrasting pre and post eruption landscape.it also revisits the area a decade later to see the rapid recovery after so much devestation.

In yhis celebration of nature the dvd explores the power of nature to destroy and to heal, in a cycle of creation that constantly changes the world we live in.

An absolutely excellent DVD.

I brought this DVD for a school resource as a factual video it is very good with some inpressive footage espeshally when you think it was 25 yrs ago short though under 30 minutes (but good for as a teaching resource in this effect.

only drawbacks is it is a bit americanised but not too bad
