5 out of 5 stars Just gets better and better!!   July 19, 2004

I've been a fan of Mr. Clunes since 'Men Behaving Badly.' He's great in this show as is Julie Graham. It shows just how hard it is to have a relationship these days while raising a family and having a career. But it also shows how fun it can be as well! I enjoyed series 2 just as much and am eagerly awaiting it's release!

5 out of 5 stars William and Mary - series of the year.   April 15, 2004

I caught this programme accidentally, half way through the first series and enjoyed it so much that I decided to buy the DVD to see what I'd been missing earlier on. Thank goodness I did.
This is real life and the attempts of William and Mary to forge a relationship amongst the normal chaos of life take the viewer through a range of emotions most of us will be able to relate to. Martin Clunes, not normally a favourite of mine, turns in a fine performance as William alongside the brilliant Julie Graham as the feisty Mary. She's come a long way since the Peugeot advert! With a fine supporting cast this is a DVD to watch over and over. Buy it and enjoy.

This is from the TV serious and i have not missed an episode, series 2 is now running on ITV and it's still just as good as the first.
It wasn't until i went shopping that i realised this was available to buy, this is now part of my DVD collection and i hope serious 2 isn't far behind.

William (Martin clunes) is an undertaker with children and he meets Mary a midwife, also with children. They have good times and bad and struggle to cope with everyday life and love.
