The DVD reviews the highlights both the north and south islands, however each section is far too brief and rushes through each of the sections it tries to give too much information in such a short space of time. On the plus side the video is worth taking a look for the scenery to wet your appetite for your holiday. Generally worth a look, but rent it rather than buy it you'll be better off buying a travel book as it will give you a better insight.

I bought a few dvds of New Zealand and this was the best. There seems to be a fashion these days to follow celebrities on their travels and the video is always on them talking about their personal experiences rather than on the place itself, which I find highly irritating. This was on the contrary a very simple but informative dvd for people who want to see the scenery and visit the main places in New Zealand without all the other personal junk thrown in. It was clearly laid-out, the filming was awesome and the commentator spoke clearly and slowly about the places and the people. I would recommend this as a useful guide to watch several times before going to NZ.
