... and good riddens! November 22, 2007 0 out of 16 found this review helpful
It's sad that TV and entertainment also is represented by series such as this. To know that this particular series has come to an end and therefore will open a slot for change leaves me with some hope. Unfortunately, this is just the tip of the iceberg as it represents a whole segment of the industry, prepared to make a profit on the cheap laughs coming from an audience that finds juvenile bathroom attempts at humor entertaining.

The final ever season of Will and Grace is sadly here, but I think the team have managed to produce an admirable final series which puts the like of Friends to shame.
Season 8 is of a much higher standard than that of season 7 which seemed to lack in quality towards the end. All of the actors; Eric, Debra, Sean and Megan all perform to the highest standard this season and their characterisation is at its very best.
What I admire most about their series is the two live episodes which were great to watch. Despite the fact Debra Messing (Grace) and Sean Hayes (Jack) laughed their way through bits of them, it made me realise how professional and great the four are at acting, and I think it also shows off the standard of Will and Grace as a TV Programme above all others.
The DVD is packed with excellent extras, including my favourite Bloopers collection which, of course, has me laughing my socks off.
The only downside for me of this series was the actual Finale. Aside from the fact that I didn't want it to end, I also felt the episode was slightly unrealistic for the characters (I won't ruin it for the people who have not seen it)... but it has some strong points, such as the mirrored actions to the pilot episode. Aside from the script of that episode, everything else about it was very good.
So, we say Goodnight Gracie one last time, and Will and Grace box set 8 gets 10/10 from me.
"Goodnight Gracie" August 9, 2006 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I've been an avid viewer of Will and Grace for the past eight years and this season does not disappoint. From the opening live episode to the finale you will be laughing and crying.
It's a credit to the writing and acting that you get drawn into this season. There is an emotional depth to it that really makes you relate to the characters and their situations. Plus as a fan of Megan Mullally it was great to see the softer side of Karen Walker.
The Finale is fantastic, due to the small touches that culminate eight years, Kevin Bacon's guest appearance, Karen and Jack touching stomachs like they did in their first meeting, (their duet is fabulous, both are very talented... Megan's album is worth buying) and Will and Grace sharing a phone call about ER's George Clooney, just as they did in the beginning.
A big thank you to all involved for making this season as good as all the others, if not better!
Will and Grace Season 8, so sad its going, best show ever. August 3, 2006 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
I have been a lover of Will and Grace since it hit the screens in 1998, I have loved the kinds of relationships they all have. My fav character has got to be Karen, she has great one liners that make me fall of the edge of my seat. I totally agree with the previous viewer about Will and Grace, its the best show ever. According to some viewers of Will and Grace, it has been "running out of steam" this is not true, if anything it has gottin funier over the past 8 years. This season of Will and grace is fantastic, it willmake you laugh and also make you cry, its well worth buying.
Still a hit and always in our hearts... August 3, 2006 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
I have been a huge Will and Grace fan for over a year now. I have been deployed for the last year or so and I borrowed the second season from one of my battle buddies and just fell in love with the show. From the drunken words of Karen Walker to the guy after guy after might be gay but dont know Grace Adler. I will always cherish this show and cannot wait to complete my set with this Last but not least season. If you want a good no make that great and never ending laugh then add this plus the other seven seasons to your movie collection and be prepared to shed tears of joy and sadness as you venture into the lives of Will, Grace, Jack and Karen. It is a roller coaster of every emotion imaginable.
