Post-modern Scooby Doo? January 31, 2001 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Zoiks! It's true, following in the footsteps of scream and the new trend for rule-breaking horror, comes Scooby Doo! The film is set a few years after the rest of the (original!) Scooby Gang went their seperate ways, taking on new jobs and getting non-spooky jobs. The interesting thing is the new ways the script twists and bends the familiar Scooby Doo themes and plots, and then pushes out in new directions. I was even afraid for some of the characters, and I'm 26! Thankfully, there's not a hint of Scrappy Doo, he seems to have disappeared into some monster, as no mention is made of the annoying dog ;) I don't want to spoil any of it, so I'm trying to reveal as little as possible, suffice to say, adults might want to stick around after dumping this video in front of their kids, as it is really funny and enjoyable for both old and young, and if this is the way it's going, I'll be checking out the new vids when they arrive! I just whish they'd release them on DVD! Grrrrr....
Kooky, but not as groovy as the old classics October 31, 2000 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Alas! Gone is Fred's attractive red bandana. Gone are the exclamations of "Zoinks!" and "Kooky!" But although this brand-new Scooby movie lacks the grooviness of the old classic shows, it's still fun for kids of all ages. And Velma still says "Jinkies".
Best Scooby Doo film, must see for all ages July 29, 2000 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
It was so good to see scooby doo and the gang in action again. Must see for all ages young and old. I am a mother of 2 small kids who both love scooby and the gang as much as i did as a kid. The film was very good the and funny just like the old scooby show was.
