5 out of 5 stars brilliant   March 31, 2003
This video is absolutley great and features (what i think) are some of the best episodes of Father Ted ever made.
Who could forget the over 75's football match that resulted in Ted losing his forfeit and having to kick bishop Brennan up the arse? Or when Dougal became a milkman and Mrs Doyles crush, Pat Mustard, put a bomb on the milk float?
This programme is absolute genius, and this video is a must for all Father ted fans.

5 out of 5 stars The madness continues   October 21, 2001

Absolutely classic entertainment that can be watched again and again. Never a dull moment on Craggy Island, from the King of the Sheep contest, to visiting crooner, Eoin McLove, where Mrs Doyle bakes a lovely jumper cake and nearly talks about Mr Doyle. I think one of my favourite moments is when Dougal is describing the Beast of Craggy Island to Ted in Chirpy Burpy Cheep Sheep. The fearsome Bishop Brennan makes an appearance, with the most sarcastic man in the world. Richard Wilson from 'One Foot In The Grave' makes a memorable appearance in the Really Dark Caves, where, apparantly, 'it's almost like being blind'. A video to put on to make you forget any stresses in life, or just to plain make you laugh. Is there anywhere in the world as weird and surreal as Craggy Island? The late Dermot Morgan is as wonderful as ever, with the brilliant Ardal O'Hanlon as the idiot boy Dougal. Such a shame there can't be more. Go on, buy the video. Go on, go on, go on.

5 out of 5 stars Kick Bishop Brennan Up the....   September 7, 2001

This series is arguably the most genius, the most entertaining and the most poignant chapter in the Father Ted chronology. The converted fans will recognise the perpetual running gags from the earlier series including Father Jack's herculean struggle against the blackbirds to retain a pair of spectacles, Graham Norton's long suffering "youth group" and of course, Fr. Ted's wretched lament.."The money was just resting in my account Dougal". The only long running gag which did not make the cut into the final series is Father Ted's attempts to reach the hapless Fr. Hayes by mobile at the most inconvenient of times. For the as yet unconverted there are many fine moments, the trip to the Mainland where all but Ted and Dougal wind up in prison, the appearance of a likeness of Bishop Brennan in the skirting boards of Craggy Island parochial house, Fr. Ted's slide show to celebrate the diversity of Craggy Island's residents and of course the fulfillment of the Nobel Prize of all forfeits..kicking Bishop Brennan up the Arse. Unfortunately for we humble viewers, Dermot Morgan's death shortly after the wrapping of this final series brought the greatest chapter in Irish comedy to an untimely close. But what a legacy.
